Reading – Magyk

This is a re-post of my first blog post of January 23, 2011. I came across this book at a book sale while on holiday in Ballarat, Victoria. If you are interested in fantasy, magic and related genres you will enjoy reading this series.

I should state that there are clickable links to these books, which when clicked will take you to Amazon where should you purchase any items I may receive a small commission.

When I first wrote the blog it was my second read of the book which in its very different style to what I normally read, fascinated me. By this stage I had found out about the other books in the series and I set out to locate them and I eventually had all bar the last The Magkal Papers.

The book is set in a time when magic was banned/illegal. Well written, it draws you in and you just want to keep reading to make sure the main characters survive attacks by the “Supreme Custodian” who is out to kill the ExtraOrdinary Wizard who is now ex-ExtraOrdinary Wizard having been displaced for aiding the rightful heiress to the throne, Jenna.

You can read my reviews for this and other books here.

Enjoy reading them, they will transport you to another world of wonders, mayhem and magyk.

What are you reading now? I hope you enjoyed reading through this rewrite of my very first blog post. I would welcome your comments added to mine about the books, so please add your comments below after you have read them.

Until next time and thank you for reading.
