Well, I didn’t get here last week but I did make some cards, but before I show those I will show a couple I had promised to show you when the recipients had received them. So, here is the first one, which I made for the 15th Anniversary of my teabag folding club. It was cut from one piece of cardstock with other pieces added on where appropriate. This was made using some leftover papers from the Creative Memories National Scrapbook Day event I held in May. The daisies are actually the “negatives” of daisies I used elsewhere. The medallion at the bottom is made from “tiles” cut from CM patterned papers from a different batch with little flowers.
The next one was made for another recipient and it was for a “Mid-Month Fold” which means that midway through the month we are presented with a fold which participants have to follow to make a medallion and then send to the nominated person. Everyone who signs up for the swap receives and sends a card.
This one was made using an embossing folder, I simply sponged some colour over the embossing and attached a medallion with the appropriate fold. I don’t always add sentiments or words for cards made for swaps because that way the person receiving it can use it for birthday or other occasion they wish.
My next post will show my first Card for the Week as it’s my turn again to be Card Captain for the Michael Strong Stamps group. You’ve seen my previous ones so I hope you come back to see what I have this week. Until then (later today). Cheers and thanks for looking.
Today I have a card which I finished a week or so ago and thought you might enjoy! It has a bit of nostalgia and fantasy combined with simplicity. I made it from some left over paper and Michael Strong stamps – fan – and a bought flower, though not sure where I bought it. Anyway, enjoy! As always let me know what you think.
HI there, I did say I would try and catch up on one card a week. Here goes, I have 9 to catch up and one for this week.
I made 20+ cards while on holiday in Port Stephens, I have shown you two of those already yesterday. Today I will show a couple that use a variety of products from Kaszazz, Creative Memories and other assorted “ingredients”. The one on the left is made with an embossing folder (cannot remember the brand – will advise later), which I cut into the two pieces and attached to the card blank and just to add a little more dimension I added the little Fairy. The one on the right is a white card base stamped with the same “Moroccan” pattern stamp (Kaszazz) as the overlay, I added some paper flowers stamped and cut out – again no brand but the stamp came free with a magazine. Enjoy!
Hello again, I said I would try and catch up on the past couple of weeks and that I thought it would be worth the wait.
My partner and I have been doing some card making and scrapbooking workshops, using Creative Memories and topping up with stamps and other things if CM items were not available.
Earlier I showed you the scrapbook pages we made, so now I will show you some cards we made, three each. We made two each for valentine cards or other special occasion and one each as Easter cards. Enjoy!
